good morning good morning good morning everybody Welcome to the recovered on purpose show bringing the word Wednesday so happy that you are here love you guys so much I am just having an amazing week um I missed Monday and I’m sad about that there was uh there was a lot going on on Sunday working a lot working on some things that uh that I’m really excited about we’re getting to speak in some colleges and some universities and uh have a lot going on what’s up Carrie good to see you Carrie always good to see you and today we’ve got a a really really good topic an amazing topic for you know for our lives and recovery for anybody that you know is is struggling with their faith or anybody that’s struggling with their worthiness or their value I’ve got a lot to talk about in the Bible and uh you know just just talking about what God thinks about you what God thinks about me why he did what you know what he did Aaron good to see you brother it was really good to talk to you really good to meet you your story is amazing brother and I’m I’m excited about the things coming up in your life man I’m really excited about the things coming up in your life you have a uh a new call you have a call to you know break generational curses like we talked about it’s already been happening in your life and I’m really excited for you brother really excited for you thanks for being here guys today we’re talking about your value to God what your identity in Christ says about you and I’ve got like I don’t know seven or eight passages that we’re going to be reading talking about today and we’re going to be diving into them and kind of dissecting them for what they actually mean for us personally and while I’m reading these make sure that you’re taking them in for yourself make sure that you’re you’re thinking about them you’re you’re listening to them and if you have a Bible with you make sure you’re reading along with it because what’s going to be happening today is this is going to be speaking to you this is going to be speaking to me because the words that are happening in this are are it’s a Living Word it’s supposed to be speaking to us in the time that we’re at right now in our lives and you know one of the best things that we can know is our identity in God and what he thinks about us the value that we have to him and one of my one of my favorite affirmations that I say to myself is I’m confident in all that I do because God is with me in my only audience and if we can if we can really live that if we can really live that all that we’re doing everything that we do and we step out in faith when we we step out and we make a live video and we step out and we go to help somebody or we we speak in a meeting or we go to a meeting if if we do it in order to honor God in order to please God then we’re going to have a totally different experience than if we’re going out there to try to please people we’ll never be able to please people but according to this we are pleasing God we are the reason why he did everything he did for us and continues to do everything that he does to us for us is because he loves us he loves us more than anything else on the planet and each and every one of us good morning Wendy good to see you from Livingston Montana Sheena coming in from Georgia 8 20 22 let’s go 11 days 11 days brand new and you got you got a lot of life ahead of you let’s go we’re gonna do the celebration lights for that 11 days Sheena we’re so proud of you thank you for being here and today this is bringing the word Wednesday so what we’re going to be doing is reading some passages from the Bible I’ve got them all all prepared and uh we’re gonna be talking about you know what our value is to God how God sees us and keep dropping in where you’re coming in from if you’re watching this on the replay if you’re watching this live and let’s get into it we’re going to start with a psalm and this is kind of like David wrote These as as prayers basically and prayers to God and this is a really good way to start uh if you read the Proverbs Proverbs are a really good way to relate with people it’s for wisdom it’s for you know being able to discern uh conversations with people and things like that and then Psalm Psalms are for our relationship with God different prayers what he thinks about us and it’s a beautiful way to start so this is Psalm 139. Lord you know everything there is to know about me you perceive every movement of my heart and soul and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind you are so intimately aware of me Lord you read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence you know every step I will take before my journey even begins so this is saying that literally God knows us from the innermost parts of us every single thought that you have every single worry if you’re you know you’re about to go into prayer he knows what you’re going to pray for and it pleases him to be prayed to it pleases him that you want to have that communication with him even though he already knows what you need and he wants to answer that it’s beautiful you’ve gone into my future to prepare the way and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past with your hand of Love upon my life you impart a blessing to me I’m going to read that again you’ve gone into my future to prepare the way and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past so not only is God preparing a way for our future but he’s he’s leaving behind our past and not allowing you know the things that happen in our addiction who we were in our addiction the the life that we lived in the past he’s not allowing that to come up and harm us in our present he’s not going to allow those thoughts those those identity issues that we had from our past to come with us with him as long as we are united with him as long as we’re talking with him as long as you know we live in his will there’s nothing from the past that can harm us this is just too wonderful deep and incomprehensible your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength where could I go from your spirit where could I run and hide from your face if I go up to heaven you’re there if I go down to the realm of the Dead you’re there too if I fly with wings Into The Shining Dawn you’re there if I fly into the radiant Sunset you’re there waiting Wherever I Go your hand will guide me your strength will Empower me God is with us every single place that we go his hand is with us his eyes are on us his heart is with us following us and being with us and leading us every single place that we go and I don’t know about you I don’t know anybody where I’d be willing just to follow them everywhere they go I’m not talking about Jesus I’m talking about human beings right now and just protect them every single place that I go I don’t have kids but even kids we can’t go with them every single place they go we’re not going to be in classrooms with them we’re not going to be at slumber parties with them none of that but God is with us every single place that we go because he loves us that much Vicki good morning good to see you Vicky thanks for being here
it’s impossible to disappear from you or to ask the darkness to hide me for your presence is everywhere bringing light into my night there is no such thing as Darkness with you the night to you is as bright as the day there’s no difference between the two you formed my innermost being shaping my delicate inside in my intricate outside and wove them all together in my mother’s womb I thank you God for making me so mysteriously complex everything you do is marvely breathtaking it simply amazes me to think about it how thoroughly you know me Lord so this is saying he he formed everything about us everything about us the way that we look he formed the way that we think he formed our hearts he formed our innermost beings he knows us that intimately he knows us he knows every single hair in our head even if we don’t have any good morning good morning good to see you slotsy slotsy it’s weird when the when the YouTube names come up because we uh we don’t know exactly what your name is it’s different than not here over here on Facebook all right you even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place carefully skillfully shaping me from nothing to something you saw who you created to be before I became me before I’d ever seen the light of day the numbered of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book every single moment you are thinking of me how precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought oh God your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every Shore imagine that get a get a picture of how many grains of sand are on the shore of a beach I have no idea I don’t even know that number but it’s a lot and it says here that God’s thoughts about us his desires towards us are more than all the grains of sand on every Shore combined so when he’s thinking about you and his desires for your life his love for you what he wants for your life the good things that he wants for you it outnumbers all the grains of sand on the planet that’s man he loves us oh God come and slay these bloodthirsty murderous men for I cry out depart from me you Wicked ones see how they blaspheme your sacred name and lift up themselves against you but all in vain Lord can’t you see how I despise those who despise you for I grieve when I see them rise up against you I have nothing but complete hatred and disgust for them your enemies shall be my enemies God I invite your searching gaze into my heart examine me through and through find out everything that may be hidden with me put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares see if there’s any path of pain I’m walking on and Lead me back to your glorious Everlasting ways the path that brings me back to you and Lord we just ask that this be our prayer today and everybody on here right now Lord Jesus we just ask that you would search us like you do God and remove from us any paths that are leading us to Pain any paths that are leading us to Darkness and God remove any from anyone from our from our Circle anyone from our path that will take us down or take us away from you God we thank you for this and as they continue to show up in this live and for everybody that is watching this or will watch this we just ask you bless them bless their hearts bless their minds in Jesus name amen amen amen what’s up Pam good to see you always good to see you What a Beautiful Morning Heather good to see you always good to see you love you guys so much so we’re gonna hop over to Romans
five I’m going to start at Romans 5 2. and this is called our new life this is from our new life our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God what incredible Joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory so that’s saying our faith our faith in God our faith in Christ it makes it so that we are permanently able to access God permanently able to access Into His Marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God but that’s not all even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence knowing that our pressures will develop in US patient endurance and patient endurance will refine our character and proven character leads us back to Hope and this hope is not a disappointing fantasy because we can now experience the Endless Love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in US so as we as we have this Faith as we have this relationship with God and we’re and we’re continuing to pray into it we’re continuing to have this hope of a future we aren’t it’s not the same as having a worldly desire or a worldly thought or a worldly hope of something happening because that kind of stuff can fail us we can be looking for promotion and we like want this promotion so bad and we have this hope for this promotion and we’re we’re counting on our boss to give us this promotion because we worked for them for two years so why wouldn’t they give it to us and then boom they pass us up and that’s that’s what it’s saying it’s it’s not a disappointing fantasy we’re not having a fantasy of a job that that will end up being disappointing this is a real hope this is a real hope in the relationship with God in a faith that if we continue with him everything is going to be great everything is going to work out everything is working according to his purpose for our life for when the time was right the anointed one came and died to demonstrate his love for Sinners who were entirely helpless Weak and Powerless to save themselves has anybody out there ever experienced the feeling of being hopeless Weak and Powerless to save yourself that is where my addiction took me my addiction took me to a place where I I literally had no more fight left in me there was nothing else I could do I was I had tried everything that was available to me I was trying you know two meetings a day I was trying to church in Bible studies I was trying MMA gyms in the gym and probation all these different things and I couldn’t get it together I couldn’t find recovery I was hopeless Weak and Powerless to save myself and that’s when God showed up that’s when God showed up and for me and for most of you I know when God shows up that doesn’t mean that he just like boom you’re clean sober there’s nothing you have to do congratulations you’re free not he he came in and he gave us the power to find recovery he gave us the power to build that Foundation of recovery to to build that life in recovery with him right and and it’s a beautiful thing because there’s and a lot of people will say you know I wish he would just do it I wish you would just do it for me I wish she would just free me from this thing and that’s where I was like God why aren’t you freeing me from this why aren’t you doing this and putting it all on him but I can tell you the reward was in having the relationship with him and doing the work to get it doing the work to find my recovery doing the work to write my book doing the work to to build recovered on purpose and to build this page and and this kind of stuff right it’s not it’s it’s a blessing to build something with him with the hope that it’s coming that’s where the blessing is that’s where the blessing is constantly during my addiction yes yes you all you all agree there’s that’s where addiction takes us right it feels so comforting when I trust my own truth it is both powerful and peaceful to know that we are all at Choice each and every one of us is being led on a path to peace and love amen amen yes me too he did and you are right about recovery too amen yes yep I’m depending on God to save me now even in sobriety waiting on pet scan results but God I trust amen Pam and we’re with you we are with you we love you God loves you and we just we just pray blessing on you in Jesus name amen amen now who of us would dare to die for the sake of a wicked person we can all understand if someone was willing to die for a truly Noble person and now what that’s saying like would we give our life for someone that is that is wicked someone that we see that we you know they’re just doing bad things right they’re they’re murdering they’re they’re stealing they’re robbing are you gonna jump in front of a bullet for that person no but we can understand if someone was willing to die for a truly Noble person let’s say like the Secret Service that has the has the job to jump in front of a bullet we can all understand that but we can’t understand how someone would give their life for the wicked person right
but Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly so that’s saying that while we were still sinners Christ died for us while we were still in our addiction while we were still in sexual sin while we were still doing all of these things that we weren’t supposed to do God still died for us he sent his son for us and there was our value was never different because of our sin our value was never different because of our addiction our our value to God has never been different from the time we were formed in the womb to noun it will never be different into the future there’s there’s a beautiful thing about that we’re not we’re not in a place where our our actions take away our value to God obviously we get more blessings and we’re able to draw nearer and closer and deeper with God when we’re doing what’s right but our value to him never changes it never changes yes me too he did you are right about recovery too amen amen praying for you Pam thank you for the prayers keep them up keep praying keep praying all right we’re going to hop over to and I’ve got some good ones today that I’m excited about that’s why I’m hopping around this is Matthew 6. starting at 25. don’t worry that’s literally what this passage is called it’s called don’t worry I don’t know if anybody out there has anything in their life that they’re worrying about um there’s there’s a lot of stuff you know in recovery in life you know that that we could possibly worry about so this one’s this one’s for me this is why I tell you to never be worried about your life for all that you need will be provided such as food water clothing everything your body needs isn’t there more to your life than a meal isn’t your body more than clothing look at all the birds do you think they worry about their existence they don’t plant or reap or store up food yet your heavenly father provides for them each with food aren’t you much more valuable to your father than they so which one of you by worrying could add anything to your life and why would you worry about your clothing look at all the beautiful flowers of the field they don’t work or toil and yet not even Solomon in his Splendor was robed in Beauty more than one of these so if God has clothed the meadow with hay which is here for such a short time and then dried up and burned won’t he provide you the clothes you need even though you live with such little faith so then forsake your worries why would you say what will we eat or what will we drink or what will we wear for that is what the unbelievers chase after doesn’t your heavenly father already know the things your body requires so above all constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly refuse to worry about tomorrow but deal with each challenge that comes your way one day at a time tomorrow we take will take care of itself if that’s not a passage for Recovery I don’t know what is right this is saying that everything that we could possibly worry about there’s no need there’s no need to worry because there’s nothing that gets added into our life by worrying about the future by worrying about what we’re going to do by worrying about what we’re going to bring up right and this is saying take one day at a time with God doing the next thing the next thing the next thing working with God working with him working in his will and all these things will be added to you everything that you need to eat everything that you need to pay rent everything that you need to have drinks or clothes or whatever it is it will all be added to you as we draw near and near to God and cast out cast out the worry cast out the worry yes amen amen that one hits home at the moment I know brother I know for me too brother for me too and I know what you’re talking about uh feel free to drop in the comments exactly what you’re talking about I’m not going to tell your story but I’m sure there’s a lot of people on here that can relate and not only relate but uh give you some prayers give you some some wisdom on that if you want to drop in the comments what what’s going on in your life right
right this is Ephesians 2. God’s power raised us from the dead God’s power raised us from the dead anyone out there that has come out of come out of addiction and found recovery we were dead I am I literally like I was dead I was found unresponsive no breath no pulse from an overdose and man we’re alive we’re in recovery we have a life now God’s power raised us from the dead and his fullness fills you even though you were once like corpses dead in your sins and offenses it wasn’t that long ago that you lived in the religion customs and values of the world obeying the Dark Ruler of the Earthly realm who fills the atmosphere with his authority and works diligently in the hearts of those who are disobedient to the truth of God the corruption that was in us from birth was expressed through the deeds and desires of our self-life we lived by whatever natural cravings and thoughts our minds dictated living as rebellious children subject to God’s Wrath like everyone else but God still loved us that’s while we were still doing all this stuff while we were while we were living in the world why we were we’re pleasing our self-life we were pleasing our self-will we were doing all this stuff ourselves doing drugs all that but God still loved us with such great love he is so rich in compassion and mercy even when we were dead and doomed in our many sins he United us into the very Life of Christ and saved us by his Wonderful Grace he raised us up with Christ the exalted one and we ascended with him into the Glorious Perfection and authority of the Heavenly Realm if we are now co-seated as one with Christ so as as God as Jesus got ascended to heaven we went with him we went with him with all that Authority all the authority that that brings everything that he brought into the Heavenly realm we have now here we’re sitting with him here and I’m gonna bring up Aaron’s what Aaron’s going through right now just got told I have a 10 year old son that I didn’t know about who is a child of the state at the moment who I now have the chance to take him and hopefully give him the life I never had with a home of family and God Amen Aaron guys how beautiful is that so Aaron and I did a call and you know he was obviously he was in addiction a while ago and he had a girlfriend like 10 years ago and you know she didn’t tell him that she had a kid and now he’s in recovery he’s got he’s like little over two years now and he gets to scuba dive basically every day he does he does photographs and and tours and things like that and he just found out that he has a 10 year old son he just found that out and that’s that’s beautiful to me I was like dude that’s like That’s so exciting because if you would have had him you know 10 years ago that’s eight years of addiction right eight years of addiction that he would have seen you in that he would have witnessed he would have gotten all that trauma all those things that would have happened according to how we live in addiction but now we’re a totally new creation in our recovery we’re able to we’re able to you know take care of us some we’re able to raise a son give him a life that you never had with a home of family and God like how beautiful is that so God we just pray right now for for Aaron we pray for his son coming in God we just ask that you would lift them both up and God continue to work in their hearts continue to work in their minds and God just build deeper relationship with him God bless them with all that they need let them seek first your kingdom and all the things that they need God would be added to them we just ask God that you would fulfill on this protect them go before them and watch behind them God and we thank you for the opportunity God in our recovery to to be someone that is that is able to be a leader of a household God that’s able to break generational curses God and we just ask that he would do that right now in Jesus name we love you and thank you for this opportunity and your name amen amen amen guys we have so many wonderful opportunities in our recovery and Aaron I’m super super proud of you brother super proud of you throughout the coming ages we will be the visible display of the infinite Limitless Riches of his grace and kindness which was showered Upon Us in Jesus Christ for it was only through this wonderful Grace that we believed in him nothing we did could ever earn this salvation for it was the gracious gift from God that brought us to Christ guys we we can’t earn God’s love that’s something that completely changed my relationship with him when I learned that there was nothing I could do that would change his love for me obviously there’s there’s things that we can do there’s you know there’s all kinds of blessings we can receive there’s there’s deeper relationship with him there’s there’s deeper connection to his will for our life which is the ultimate fulfillment when we’re following his will but when it comes down to his Limitless unconditional love for us there’s nothing I can do to earn that and that’s what all of these passages are saying all these passages are saying that he loved us the same while we were still Sinners while we were still in our addiction while we were still doing all these things he died for us at that point he loved us at that point and if that’s the case then there’s and we’re we found Freedom we found this freedom from addiction and we’re on the other side now and he’s always loved us you know now we just need to accept it and receive it walk with it build deeper relationship with him I work every day on trying to understand more and more what God’s love actually means because the more I understand God’s infinite love so it’s impossible to actually get a full grasp a full understanding of something that’s infinite but the more I receive and the more I understand the more I’m able to give it out and that’s that’s the focus that’s my focus is Understanding God’s love in order to give it out Pam says amen praying for Aaron Andrew’s son and then anybody that just came on Aaron uh Aaron just got news that he’s got a 10 year old son he’s got just over two years clean and sober and he’s able to uh he’s able to actually you know Father the Son take care of him amen guys we’re going to take a quick 30 second break and be right back what’s up we’re covered on purpose family I hope you’re all right this is this is a passage that you know we’ve all we’ve all heard at some point right I’m actually going to read it from uh from this translation got a couple different translations but um
but I’m gonna keep reading because everybody’s heard everybody’s heard one of these verses everybody’s heard one of these verses multiple times but I’m going to keep reading from it after that one so that we really get a grasp of what this means okay
so this is John 3 starting at 10. Jesus replied you are a respected Jewish teacher and yet you don’t understand these things I assure you we tell you what we know and have seen and yet you won’t believe our testimony but if you don’t believe me when I tell you about Earthly things how can you possibly believe if I tell you about Heavenly things no one has ever gone to heaven in return but the son of man has come down from heaven and as a as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness so the son of man must be lifted up so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life so he’s talking about prophesying his own crucifixion for this is how God loved the world he gave his one and only son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life now that’s John 3 16. we’ve all heard that now check this out God sent his son into the world not to judge the world but to save the world through him I’m going to read this other translation also
for this is how much God loved the world he gave his one and only unique son as a gift so now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life God did not send his son into the world to judge and condemn the world but to be its Savior and Rescue It so now there is no longer any condemnation for those who believe in him but the unbeliever already lives under condemnation because they do not believe in the name of God’s beloved Son so this is saying that you know a lot of a lot of messaging and a lot of people that haven’t yet gotten to know Christ right A lot of people that haven’t yet found Christ they think that Christ came to judge and condemn and and Damned them to hell but that’s not the case that was never the case and when we talk about John 3 16 and a lot everybody’s heard it I mean even non-believers have heard um for God so loved the world that he sent his one and only begotten son so whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life we’ve all heard that and if we followed that up with the fact that for God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world and judge the world but to be the world savior to save the world from the condemnation to save the world from the the thoughts the anxieties the worries the the the fear of death the fear of all of these different things that we no longer have to have with a relationship with Christ we don’t have to have any of that anymore and that’s the value that’s the ultimate value it’s hard to it’s hard to grasp on to what it would mean to send your your son to die for other people to be tortured to die for other people your one and only son and that’s the value that God has for us that you know he would give everything he bankrupted Heaven just for you just for me for us to be able to find recovery for us to be able to find Freedom from addiction he gave he bankrupted everything that he had and died for us that’s that’s what we’re blessed with we’re and and not only that but we’re blessed with the ability to have a relationship with the god that thinks that about us we are we’re so blessed in our recovery to have the opportunity to have a relationship with God that you know we have to grasp onto this we have to continue moving with this and get deeper and deeper with it because we were we were never our destiny was never meant to be you know get born have a little bit of childhood get addicted to drugs and then get clean that’s not our destiny that you know on the on the tombstone where it has the year that we were born and the year that we passed that Dash was never meant to be I got clean in recovery there’s so much more to do and when we are when we’re deeper with God when we’re in relationship with God and we we get to know more and more of his heart for us his vision for us his life plan for us we’re able to attain that we’re able to walk with him we’re able to get deeper and deeper with him and understand why he has us here and there’s no greater fulfillment than walking in the fullness of God knowing that we’re doing what he has us here for knowing that we’re walking in his will we’re walking according to his purpose for us you know there’s no greater fulfillment contentment um ease satisfaction uh you know all of that comes from knowing that we’re walking exactly how we’re supposed to be walking and it’s it’s a beautiful beautiful feeling God bless you too love you I started watching and listening to you because my son Jeremy who is seven months clean it has been a struggle for 10 long years I prayed every day that he would get sober I lost my beloved husband suddenly two years ago listening to you also helped me with this grief so thankful that you are helping All God’s Children Vicky love you so much thank you for being here congratulations to Jeremy and uh you know I’m sorry about your husband and I love that you’re here I love that you know I have the opportunity to do this and it helps me having you guys here as well you know um I feel super super blessed to have recovery I feel super super blessed to you know have this call from God and I think that each and every one of us you know we each and every one of us has an opportunity we each have an opportunity to help others and that looks at that looks like a lot of different ways for a lot of different people but each and every one of us is contributing by by showing up you know each and every one of us
amazing so good to hear so good to hear all right now I’m going to talk about a story if you haven’t heard this story you know enjoy this enjoy this so a thirsty savior this is John 4 this is the woman at the well soon the news reached the Jewish religious leaders known as the Pharisees that Jesus was drawing greater crowds of followers coming to be baptized than John although Jesus did not baptize but had his disciples baptize the people Jesus heard what was being said and abruptly left Judea and returned to the province of Galilee and he had to pass through Samaritan territory and I wanna I wanna take you in the context of this okay so this is like the ultimate um class and racism of the time okay the Jews were thought to be like the the highest of the high right the Romans had him under control but the Jews were in that area they were like the elite elite right and the Samaritans were like the low of the low the you know I don’t even know want to necessarily compare it to anything but like you got to think of the the worst racism possible the worst thoughts possible of one class to another class okay so they had to pass through Samaritan territory so here’s the the Jewish leader Jesus walking with his disciples and they’re going through the territory of people that are just the lowest of the low dirt right Jesus arrived at the Samaritan Village of sakar near the field that Jacob had given to his son Joseph Long Ago wearied by his long journey he sat on the edge of Jacob’s Well he sent his disciples into the village to buy food for it was already afternoon so now Jesus is by this well this this water well sitting there alone he sent his disciples into the village to go get food okay soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water and again context not only is this a Samaritan so a Jew who is the highest class possible at the time Samaritan lowest class possible at the time not only that but a Samaritan woman so at this time like Men Jewish men were not supposed to talk to women because whether they were married or whether you know anything like that but it was it was unheard of for a Jew to talk to a Samaritan a but for a Jew to talk to a Samaritan woman is like you are not supposed to do that okay Jesus said to her give me a drink of water surprised she said why would a Jewish man ask a Samaritan woman for a drink of water Jesus replied if you only knew who I am and the gift that God wants to give you you’d ask me for a drink and I would give to you living water the woman with a woman replied but sir you don’t even have a bucket and this well is very deep so where do you find this living water do you really think that you are greater than our ancestor Jacob who dug this well and drank from it himself along with his children in livestock Jesus answered if you drink from Jacob’s well you’ll be thirsty again and again but if anyone drinks The Living Water I give them they will never thirst again and will be forever satisfied for when you drink the water I give you it becomes a gushing Fountain of the Holy Spirit springing up and flooding you with endless life the woman replied let me drink that water so I’ll never be thirsty again and won’t have to come back here to draw water so she’s being a little bit sarcastic with Jesus also so she’s like all right let me get some of that water you know so I never have to come back here again because she’s she has to come up to this well all the time and fill this bucket and go back down right and again he’s not supposed to be talking to her according to customs and according to the rules of the land of that time okay Jesus said go get your husband and bring him back here but I’m not married the woman answered that’s true Jesus said for you’ve been married five times and now you’re living with a man who is not your husband you have told the truth so Jesus is telling her you know and being married five times and living with a man that that you’re not married to at that time was like not okay that’s like huge sin that’s like everybody would be judging you everybody would think really really low of her you know and and there’s there’s no reason why a Jewish man would be having this conversation with a Samaritan woman there’s all of these different implications going on in this one conversation that you know and then Jesus says I already know I already know everything about your life you’ve been married five times you’re living with a man that you’re not married to right now and then she says you must be a prophet so tell me this why do our fathers worship God here on this nearby Mountaintop but your people teach that Jerusalem is the place where we must worship which is right Jesus responded believe me dear woman the time has come when you won’t worship the father on a mountain nor in Jerusalem but in your heart your people don’t really know the one they worship we Jews worship out of our experience for it’s from the Jews that salvation is made available from here on worshiping the father will not be a matter of the right place but with the right heart so this is saying we don’t have to go to a specific place to pray God’s in our heart and we’re able to worship Him and connect with him from our heart we don’t have to follow certain Traditions or anything and again Jesus is teaching this to the lowest person that people would possibly imagine him talking to okay the most forbidden conversation Jesus is having with this person from here on worshiping the father will not be a matter of the right place but with the right heart for God is a spirit and he longs to have sincere worshipers who worship and adore him in the realm of the spirit and in truth the woman said this is all so confusing but I do know that the anointed one is coming the true Messiah and when he comes he will tell us everything we need to know Jesus said to her you don’t have to wait any longer the anointed one is here speaking with you I am the one you’re looking for at that moment the disciples returned so right then so God tells Jesus tells her like I’m the anointed one I’m the Messiah I’m the one you’ve been waiting for and right then right in that moment the disciples walk up the disciples are like uh at the moment the disciples returned and were stunned to see Jesus speaking with a Samaritan woman yet none of them dared to ask him why or what they were discussing all at once the woman dropped her water jar and ran off to her Village and told everyone come and meet a man at the well who told me everything I’ve ever done he could be the anointed one we’ve been waiting for hearing this the people came streaming out of the village to go see Jesus now that’s I want you to imagine this also okay Jesus chose her like we know that Jesus knew that by by sending his disciples into the village that he was going to be there alone and he knew she was going to come up here he knew before this happened that he was going to have the conversation with a Samaritan woman and the way that he was doing it was he was setting it up to be able to use her to be able to use her like he was he was breaking all of the Customs at that time saying you right here everything that you have done everything you’ve done to this point you’ve been married five times you’re living with someone that you’re not married to all of this stuff that she’s done in her life I’m showing up and I’m coming to you and telling you I’m the Messiah I’m the one that you’re looking for and with my water you will never thirst again but you’ll have the Holy Spirit in you for the rest of your life and you’ll have a connection with God from your heart you won’t have to go to Jerusalem you won’t have to go up that Mountaintop but I’ll be in your heart forever and by doing that by picking the the lowest of the low right you and me I was the lowest of the low and God chose me to be able to share his goodness with others and by doing that he he had this conversation with this with this woman and then she ran into the village and told everyone and there’s history here that isn’t that isn’t brought up in John but is historical that she ended up becoming a preacher she was preaching the Good News to the Samaritans she was preaching the Good News around and that’s what Jesus was doing in one little instance right one little conversation at a well he was able to begin the process of saving a whole bunch of Samaritans right and that’s what each one of us has a call to do in our recovery each one of us that has found recovery we are called and chosen to go help other people that are struggling with addiction to find recovery we’re called to do that we’re called to whatever else our call is that’s going to be the ultimate one that takes us to more Glory more blessings more more closeness with God as we save more and more people from addiction each one of us that has come out of it we’re called to do this okay and if he came and he saved you when you were at that point that we all know we were at right I was at a very very low Point nothing could have helped me but God showed up so how could I possibly not be sharing that type of Life how could I not want to go out and help people that were or that are where I was right we’re all called to be doing that I love that I love that story Jesus is literally just showing us that there is nothing that we have done in our life that he will hold against us there’s nothing there’s nothing holding us away from a relationship with God that’s awesome

God the Searcher of the heart knows fully our longings yet he also understands the desires of the spirit because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us his holy ones in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny so I’m gonna read that again God the Searcher of the heart knows fully our longings yet he also understands the desires of the spirit because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us his holy ones in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny so God has a plan and our destiny brings us into this plan and God is the Searcher of our heart right and and the spirit that’s living within us the spirit that’s operating within us in in moving us right that’s always pleading with God to to keep us going to keep us with him to keep us you know keep communicating with us keep showing us the way no matter what we’re doing right we’re we’re continually having to to progress we’re continually having to you know lay aside you know things that we need to lay aside we’re continually having to add in things that we need to add in continually having to progress because no one’s perfect this is a program of progress not Perfection and that’s not just you know recovery that’s life we’re all constantly going to be growing and God is continually searching our hearts for for cleanliness for for desire for him and the more of that that we have the more he’s able to connect with us and the more he’s able to show us and walk us into the place that we’re going our destiny that is part of his plan our destiny that is part of his plan amen good to see you Catherine good to see you good morning good morning unconditional love amen that’s that’s something that I have found to be so true so true I struggled with it so much in my addiction because I always loved God I always had this like this deep knowledge of God I never I never questioned his existence I always loved him so much but like I couldn’t talk to him because of my own shame my own guilt my own you know my own stuff I was just like uh how could he possibly love me you know and then when I learned this fact here the unconditional love of God and the infinite love of God that he has for each and every one of us man it completely changed my life I was able to recover I was able to progress in my recovery I was able to lay aside worries and anxieties and and the cares of what other people thought while I was recovering because guys I had a hard time in early recovery with the thoughts of others because I’d been trying for so long I’ve been trying for so long to get clean and people have been watching me going to the rooms raising my hand every single day for months that I can’t get clean for three meetings I couldn’t string together three meetings clean so I was raising my hand every single meeting so I’m I’m worried about what people are thinking about me you know what what switched was when I started realizing what God thought about me what God thinks about you what God thinks about each and every one of us in an unconditional loving manner like there’s nothing we can do to earn it and when I learned that I was able to continue moving in a different way amen amen amen Perfectly Imperfect I am that’s me that is me
that is me so we are convinced that every detail of Our Lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his design purpose so this is saying we are convinced we are convinced that as as lovers of God as faithful lovers of God we are convinced that he is bringing good into our lives God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives we believe that we know that for he knew all of us before we were born and he destined us from the beginning to share the likeness of his son this means the son is the oldest among a vast family of brothers and sisters who will become just like him having determined our destiny ahead of time he called us to himself and transferred his perfect righteousness to everyone he called and those who possess his perfect righteousness he co-glorified with his son so we have been glorified with Jesus just by having faith in Jesus just by having faith in Jesus we have been glorified with him and we’re going to shout it out we’re gonna shout it out

so then since we have a great high priest who has entered Heaven Jesus the son of God let us hold firmly to what we believe this high priest of ours understands our weaknesses for he faced all of the same testings we did yet he did not sin let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God there we will receive his mercy and we will find Grace to help us when we need it most so it’s saying we can come boldly boldly boldly to the throne of grace we don’t have to come timidly like God I know I’m I’m wicked I know this and that nah we can say hey God what’s up what’s up homie hey Jesus I know you’re up there I know you’re helping us all out and God I just ask that you would uh help everybody that’s on this live right now everybody that’s listening right now God whatever they’re dealing with any worries that they have right now God I just asked that you would just show up in a magnificent way to show up today communicate with them show them the way show them the next step in that and God we just cast out any anxieties any worries because God we know that with faith in you there is nothing that can hurt us there’s nothing that can harm us here and God we know that you are working according to your plan and giving all goodness to us in our lives and God we just ask that you would you would help our minds to know that we we believe it God help us with our own belief because we know that you are the ultimate King priest that is up there and you went up there for us God and God we love that we can come boldly to you knowing that you’re there listening knowing that you’re there for each and every one of us God God I just ask that you would uh give this boldness give us boldness God you say right here that we can approach boldly to your throne God I just ask that you would anoint each and every one of us that’s on this live that watches the replay anybody that sees this God just give them boldness boldness to come to you and and just be faithful in that conversation with you knowing that you are right there with them God God we thank you in Jesus name amen amen and it’s so true we have the ability God is right here he’s right here he’s right here he’s before us behind us and on each side and we are able to come boldly to his throne and have a conversation with him and guys we’re gonna do one more one more this is what the Lord says you will be in Babylon for 70 years but then I will come and do for you all the good things I have promised and I will bring you home again so imagine those 70 years in Babylon or however many years we were in addiction for I know the plans I have for you says the Lord they are plans for good and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope in those days when you pray I will listen if you look for me wholeheartedly you will find me I will be found by you says the Lord I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes I will gather you out of the Nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land Jeremiah 29 guys the truth is the truth is each and every one of us has a we have a new life in our recovery but not only that we have a new relationship with God we have a new opportunity to build and grow this relationship with him come boldly to him in prayer in meditation and when we come boldly that means that we know that he’s there now we know there’s there’s nothing stopping us from knowing the truth now and guys we’re called to do it we are called to have conversations with him we’re called to do what he wants us to do for our for our lives for other people because there is nothing more fulfilling than doing what we know God has us here to do amen amen amen good morning good morning good morning amen thank you and God bless you Adam too for any needs he may have and grow his sight to help others in Jesus precious and only name amen amen I love you all so much have an amazing amazing rest of your week keep living recovered on purpose
